Some Comments from Participants:
I had the pleasure of chaperoning my son's 5th grade field trip on October 4th. Despite the drizzling rain it was a delightful day. Our guide was fantastic--he had the children engaged immediately. The children were completely into the task he presented and were thrilled to pull out and then examine their catch. I can't imagine any paper and pencil task in classroom having the impact of the hands on experience the children had that day. I thought it was wonderful that this trip precluded the children's classroom work, their studies will be so much more meaningful. Thank you for your generous scholarship for this field trip. As you know school field trips are more and more difficult to have approved and to fund. Foundations like yours are so important to the children and to the community.
Most sincere thanks,
The parents of the 5th Graders from Birchwood School were notified of your very generous gift of the Scholarship for our children. Thank you for this wonderful gift! I know my child truly enjoyed the experience!
