Many employers will match employee gifts to nonprofit organizations like the Friends of Five Rivers. Find out whether your company offers matching donations and/or a payroll deduction workplace giving campaign. New York State and Federal government employees can make a donation to the Friends of Five Rivers through the SEFA Campaign or CFC Campaign need link.

By designating the Friends of Five Rivers as a beneficiary of your will or living trust you can create a permanent fund for the future. You can name a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of it.

You can donate a gift of your retirement assets, such as your IRA, 401k, 403b, pension or other tax deferred plan, which will not be subjected to either estate or income taxes. If you are over 70 1/2, you can avoid or minimize income tax on your minimum required IRA distributions by making a charitable rollover gift to the Friends of up to $100,000. Contact your IRA custodian to set this up.
Stocks & bonds:
